Kampanilen

Kampanilen is our home in Aarhus Ø, where the city meets the harbour. Here, we welcome neighbours and visitors for coffee, bread and pastries in the BIG-designed building.

Directions

The space

Warm wood and heavy curtains sit alongside the building’s exposed concrete. Tables suspended between the octagonal pillars give the café its own character, while acoustic panels soften the sound.

A connection to cacao

Our work with and interest in cacao extends to the materials around us. The linoleum floor at Kampanilen incorporates cacao husks, a by-product of cacao production, giving it a distinctive texture.
